Digital Content Editor

This will be your guiding mantra when you:

  • Thoroughly research and champion strategic content creation
  • Craft original copy that SELLS in a digital environment

This position is full-time in Edmonton, AB, Canada. We welcome local applicants, as well as any Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible international applicants willing to relocate.


  • Championing non-transactional content development, production, and optimization
  • Collaborating with the eCommerce team to identify, evaluate, and execute on digital content opportunities to drive customer interest, consideration, and validation of our products
  • Collaborating with the Creative team to deliver cohesive digital experiences and new digital creative assets
  • Collaborating with the Advertising team to capitalize on paid/organic opportunities through digital content production
  • Researching and advising stakeholders about competitors products, services, and policies
  • Optimizing digital content workflow and publishing guidelines for non-transactional websites
  • Writing and optimizing copy to support Search Engine Optimization: page titles, meta tags, keywords, alt-tags, image/video captions etc.
  • Editing and conducting production quality checks while maintaining established copywriting standards
  • Maintaining cutting-edge industry knowledge
  • Submitting digital content deliverables within agreed deadlines and budgets
  • Working with outsourced vendors to efficiently develop creative assets


  • Perfect written English
  • Ability to speak and write in French considered a strong asset
  • At least 5 years of experience in a fast-moving, content-creation role
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in English, marketing, communications or a related field
  • Experience crafting user-centric marketing, editorial, user interface or keyword-targeted content
  • Understanding of marketing and communication strategies and how targeted content can fulfill business goals
  • Able to lead the development of and produce compelling copy at a very high output
  • Able to write in multiple tones to cater to different audiences on different platforms
  • Solid understanding of generating content for multi-platform and cross-device UI/UX
  • Mid-level proficiency with content management systems including, but not limited to, WordPress
  • Working knowledge of HTML
  • Proven aptitude to function within deadlines, while working both independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized
  • Solid understanding of SEO & SEO tools (i.e. AHrefs, Moz, SEMrush)
  • Solid understanding of Google Analytics
