Is 15 lb the right weight for me?

For optimal comfort, a weighted blanket should be somewhere around 10% of your body weight (more details).

How does a weighted blanket work?

Weighted blankets are designed to create a calming effect when placed on the body. The high-density weighted granules are spread evenly across the blanket to simulate the therapeutic benefits of deep pressure therapy (DPT) — which is similar to the pleasant feeling of being hugged or held.

Scientific studies show that deep pressure therapy can help alleviate symptoms associated with autism, anxiety, insomnia, and chronic pain.

Shipping

Shipping is free to the vast majority of Canadian addresses, while a remote shipping fee may apply to some outlying locations depending on the region. To prevent a delay in sending out your shipment, your weighted blanket will be shipped separately from other items in your order.

Returns

Weighted blankets can be returned within 14 days of delivery in their original, unopened packaging. Returns are subject to return shipping fees, which must be organized by OctaveSleep.ca. Refunds will have shipping fees subtracted from the total refund amount. Weighted blankets that are opened, used, and/or out of their original packaging cannot be returned.
